The process
What families can expect, step by step.
Every referral is different, but the shape of a well-run supervised visit is consistent. These are the five moments we make clear before the family arrives.
Start with the referral
Share the order, referral, or reunification plan.
A typical referral comes from a parent, attorney, social worker, or case manager. Send the relevant order or referral details, who should attend, the requested visit length, and any reporting requirements. We review the details before a visit is confirmed so the plan fits the family’s actual situation.
Choose a time
Book a visit that works for the family.
Once the referral is clear, browse available weekday or weekend times and choose the visit length. We confirm the location, participants, monitor, and practical details by email. If a court or agency has a specific requirement, tell us during booking so it is part of the intake record.
Arrive prepared
Bring the people and paperwork the order names.
Arrive at the agreed location a few minutes early with a photo ID and a copy of the order or referral if requested. Bring snacks, a comfort item, or anything the child needs for a normal visit. The monitor helps everyone get settled before the visit begins; the handoff stays calm, clear, and focused on the child.
During the visit
The monitor keeps the room safe and neutral.
The monitor is present for the full visit, observes parent-child contact, and supports the structure set by the order. They do not take sides, counsel the family, or decide the case. If a moment needs de-escalation, the monitor steps in calmly and documents what happened factually.
Close the loop
Receive the summary and settle payment.
After the visit, ToGether Time prepares a concise factual summary covering attendance, timing, what took place, and how the visit ended. It can be shared with the parent, attorney, social worker, or court contact named during intake. Payment is due for the completed visit, with standard lengths and pricing explained before booking.
